Installing WordPress

Get WordPress up and running in about 60 seconds. Our managed platform handles all the technical details.

1Create a WordPress Site

Start your WordPress site:

  1. Go to Dashboard > New Site
  2. Select "WordPress"
  3. Choose your plan (Starter, Business, or Professional)
  4. Enter your site details:
    • Site name (used for the subdomain)
    • Admin username
    • Admin password
    • Admin email
  5. Click "Create Site"

WordPress installs automatically in about 60 seconds.

2What Gets Installed

Your WordPress site comes pre-configured with:

  • Latest WordPress version
  • PHP 8.x (optimized configuration)
  • MariaDB database
  • Redis object caching
  • Free SSL certificate
  • Global CDN
  • Automatic daily backups

3Access Your Site

Once installed, you can access:

  • Your site: yoursite.bericanlabs.com
  • WordPress admin: yoursite.bericanlabs.com/wp-admin

Login with the admin credentials you set during installation.

4Recommended First Steps

After installation, we recommend:

  1. Add a custom domain: Go to Site Settings > Domains
  2. Install a theme: Appearance > Themes > Add New
  3. Configure permalinks: Settings > Permalinks (we recommend "Post name")
  4. Install essential plugins:
    • Security plugin (Wordfence or Sucuri)
    • SEO plugin (Yoast or Rank Math)
    • Caching is handled automatically - no plugin needed

5Migration from Another Host

Moving from another host? We offer free migration:

  1. Create a new WordPress site on Berican Labs
  2. Go to Site Settings > Migration
  3. Click "Request Free Migration"
  4. Provide your current host details
  5. Our team handles the rest

Migrations typically complete within 24-48 hours with zero downtime.
