Getting Started

Create your first site on Berican Labs in just 5 minutes. This guide walks you through account setup, choosing a hosting type, and deploying your first project.

1Create Your Account

Getting started with Berican Labs is quick and easy:

  1. Visit bericanlabs.com/register
  2. Enter your email address and create a password
  3. Verify your email address via the confirmation link
  4. Complete your profile with your name and phone number

That's it! Your account is ready to use.

2Choose Your Hosting Type

Berican Labs offers two hosting options:

Static Hosting

Perfect for HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Next.js, Vue, and other static sites. Plans from KSh 200/month.

WordPress Hosting

Managed WordPress with isolated containers, guaranteed resources, and enterprise cloud infrastructure. Plans from KSh 300/month.

3Deploy Your First Site

Once you've chosen your hosting type, deploying is simple:

For Static Sites:

  1. Connect your GitHub or GitLab repository
  2. Configure your build settings (we auto-detect most frameworks)
  3. Click Deploy and watch your site go live

For WordPress:

  1. Choose your WordPress plan
  2. Enter your site name and admin details
  3. WordPress installs automatically in ~60 seconds

4Connect a Domain

Every site gets a free *.bericanlabs.com subdomain. To use your own domain:

  1. Go to your site's Settings > Domains
  2. Click "Add Custom Domain"
  3. Enter your domain name
  4. Update your DNS records as shown
  5. SSL certificate is automatically provisioned

5Pay with MPESA

Berican Labs is MPESA-first. To add funds or pay for services:

  1. Go to Dashboard > Billing
  2. Click "Add Funds" or select a plan to purchase
  3. Enter your MPESA phone number
  4. Confirm the STK push on your phone
  5. Funds are credited instantly

You'll receive a confirmation SMS and email receipt for every transaction.
